The purpose of this IGC is to provide the minimum design and performance criteria for pool shells constructed from fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) materials. This interim guide criterion applies to FRP pool shells whose bottom is fully supported by soil or the structural system of the building in which it is to be installed. The sides of these types of pool shell are designed to span from the bottom to an FRP bond beam positioned around the perimeter at the top of the pool shell.
