Specifies minimum requirements for the design, construction and performance of refrigerated bulk milk tanks for the refrigeration of milk and its storage in bulk on farms. Applies to both atmospheric and vacuum-type tanks which are filled to no more than 60 percent of capacity at any one milking. Gives specifications for devices used for measuring milk volume in tanks intended to be used as measures for trading purposes, with an appendix describing a test for verifying the accuracy of the measuring device. Another appendix sets out a 24-hour test covering performance of refrigeration equipment at an ambient temperature of 35 degrees Celsius and an additional 2-hour test at 40 degrees Celsius.
