The requirements in UL 1275 cover cabinets intended to be used to provide an indoor storage area for limited quantities of flammable and combustible liquids in containers in compliance with the Flammable and Combustible Liquids Code, NFPA 30; the Uniform Fire Code (UFC),NFPA 1; and the International Fire Code (IFC) published by the International Fire Code Institute.

A storage cabinet may have a maximum total storage capacity of not more than 120 gallons (454 L) of flammable and combustible liquids with the maximum capacity rating assigned by the manufacturer. Construction and performance requirements for the cabinet are primarily based on the Flammable and Combustible Liquids Code, NFPA 30; the Uniform Fire Code (UFC),NFPA 1; and the International Fire Code (IFC) published by the International Fire Code Institute.
